SEEN & HEARD 5: DINNER DATE

Presented with thirdbird. Seen & Heard 5 was thirdbird’s last exploration of the intersections between movement, sound and text, with food, friends and foreign influence at the center: performances, meals and conversations.

DINNER DATE, performance and meal
The latest Blind Date experiment expanded beyond individual pairings into a working group of musicians and dancers, with participation in simultaneous structures, followed by a late-night meal and conversation about improvisation and how this Philadelphia-based practice can best be supported and shared. Part performance, part participation.

Thirdbird was the collaborative wing of the shared endeavors of Anna Drozdowski (proprietor of Ladybird) and Dustin Hurt (founder of Bowerbird). First hatched for the Blindspot festival in 2011, it served as a way to share dance, music and performance art.
