Presented with thirdbird. In a city where it can be easy to fall into habits and routines, a chance to reframe perspective can be a path to creative growth. For these performances, thirdbird paired musicians and dancers in first-time collaborations, working with the simple instruction: “make a plan, or plan not to.”

Thirdbird was the collaborative wing of the shared endeavors of Anna Drozdowski (proprietor of Ladybird) and Dustin Hurt (founder of Bowerbird). First hatched for the Blindspot festival in 2011, it served as a way to share dance, music and performance art.
