House dance party: PIMA Group’s Look! in Metro

In Metro’s weekend edition, Shaun Brady previewed the PIMA Group in Look!, Melisa Putz’s new piece for the historic Powel House in Society Hill. Audiences roam the house as dancers travel through its rooms, performing duets and whispering and gesturing to one another, and occasionally confronting viewers with eye contact or a whisper. Putz describes developing the piece through improvisations and workshops inside the house, beginning with secrets shared between two people in intimate rooms and moving out into a broader social scene.
