WRTI on our weekend of variations

Melinda Whiting’s WRTI Spotlight paired our two concerts this weekend, both built on sets of variations. John Walthausen plays Bach’s Goldberg Variations on harpsichord on Friday, October 16 at University Lutheran, and Heather O’Donnell plays Frederic Rzewski’s The People United Will Never Be Defeated! on Sunday, October 18 at Trinity at 22nd.

She calls Bowerbird an “exploration-minded presenting organization” and suggests hearing both concerts to compare the two works.
