Gay Guerrilla for 16 electric guitars opens MaerzMusik’s Eastman project

A version of Julius Eastman’s Gay Guerrilla for 16 electric guitars by Dustin Hurt, director of Bowerbird, was performed at the opening concert of We Have Delivered Ourselves from the Tonal, the Julius Eastman project of MaerzMusik and SAVVY Contemporary in Berlin, conducted by Seth Josel. The program also included the Holy Presence of Joan d’Arc for ten cellos, Buddha and Femenine.
