Neighborhood Sound Lab opens at AMLA Studios at Esperanza
Bowerbird’s Neighborhood Sound Lab opens at AMLA Studios at Esperanza Arts Center in Hunting Park. The Community Synth Studio is a free, staffed studio where adults can spend time with modular and semi-modular synthesizers. No experience is needed. New studio users start with a studio orientation or an intro class.
Studio time opens Wednesday, October 21 and runs through Thursday, December 17. Classes begin this month, including an intro to synthesizers, a four-part Synth Foundations course, and workshops with guest teachers. Classes are for ages 18 and up, are limited to 10 people, and need a ticket reservation.
This is the first of three planned neighborhood sites. See the project page for schedules, booking, and class listings. Questions: SoundLab@bowerbird.org
Major support for Neighborhood Sound Lab has been provided by the William Penn Foundation with additional support from The Presser Foundation.
