In his book Curating Contemporary Music Festivals: A New Perspective on Music’s Mediation (transcript Verlag, 2020), musicologist and curator Brandon Farnsworth cites the multi-year Julius Eastman concert series organized by Bowerbird in Philadelphia beginning in 2015 as part of the recent resurgence of interest in the composer.
