Philadelphia Gay News previewed our Julius Eastman retrospective, That Which Is Fundamental, presented with The Rotunda and Slought Foundation. Co-curator Dustin Hurt, director of Bowerbird, described first encountering Eastman’s music in 2007 and called the retrospective the culmination of a long research project, aimed at presenting a much wider view of Eastman as an artist.
